Flowers are in bloom, birds are singing and Madrid is more beautiful than ever. IROS2018 workshops and tutorials have been announced recently. 48 workshops (33 full-day and 15 half-day) and 8 tutorials (3 full-day and 5 half-day) will be hosted on Monday, 1st October, and Friday, 5th October. Several competitions have already announced their call for participants. If you are interested on drone racing, service robot league, mobile manipulation, or minesweepers, don’t hesitate and sign up now. Other competitions will open soon. We are very happy to announce the winners of the IROS Fan Challenge Phase I. In Modality A the winners are UMass-NASA (Amherst, Boston, USA), Cothink Robotics and Feifan AI (Changsha, China), and SRM Team (Chennai, India). In Modality B, the winners are KOREATECH (Chungnam, South Korea), DLR Team ZLP (Augsburg, Germany), and CORO (Montreal, Canada).
