The Spanish Robotics Technology Platform (HispaRob) held its annual national event on 25–26 November 2025 at the Las Naves – La Harinera complex in València, under the theme “Art, Science and Robotics: Technology at the Service of People.” The conference was organised in collaboration with València Innovation Capital and Escuela de Ciencia, and served as the official national event of the European Robotics Week (ERW2025).
The event enjoyed the Honorary Presidency of Her Majesty Queen Letizia of Spain, reaffirming her continued support for science education, innovation, and the promotion of technological vocations among young people.
HispaRob coordinates and promotes in Spain the celebration of the European Robotics Week, ERW, which is held at the initiative of the European robotics association euRobotics.
The ERW2025 edition will take place from the 21th to the 30th of November 2025. Every year, activities are organised and held all over Europe, which can be found on the ERW map on the official euRobotics website.
A meeting point for Spain’s robotics community
For two days, leading experts, educators, researchers, companies, and public institutions gathered to discuss how robotics and AI are transforming education, health, culture, and society. The event will open its second day, on November 26, with a keynote address by engineer and entrepreneur Patricia Heredia Gil, co-founder of ValPat STEAM and MiniVinci, who will highlight the importance of fostering curiosity and creativity in technological education.
The programme featured five round-table discussions:
- “Robotics and Emergencies: From Theory to Practice”
- “Art and TechnologIA”
- “Technology Serving Human Health”
- “Gamification and Virtual Environments in the Classroom”
- “Technology in the Classroom: Regulation or Prohibition?”
Hands-on activities and educational engagement
Alongside the debates, the event included hands-on workshops and interactive sessions led by members of HispaRob’s Educational Robotics Working Group, aimed at teachers and students from different educational levels.
A STEAM fair with live demonstrations, sponsor stands, and a presentation of the HispaRob Educational Robotics Quality Seal also formed part of the two-day programme, creating a space where education and innovation met in a practical and inspiring way.
Teachers and innovation in the classroom: the support of CEFIRE
A significant part of the audience was composed of teachers from across the Valencian Community, who found in the event a valuable space for professional development and exchange. The CEFIRE (Valencian Centre for Teacher Training, Innovation and Educational Resources) collaborated with the initiative by officially recognising teachers’ participation with accredited training hours — further promoting innovation and robotics in classrooms.
A shared commitment to innovation
HispaRob’s choice of València as the host city reflects its growing status as a Mediterranean hub for innovation, supported by València Innovation Capital. The conference once again positioned HispaRob as the key platform connecting industry, academia, research, and education in robotics and artificial intelligence, and as Spain’s reference point within the European Robotics Week.
